Buying towels does not seem to be such a major consideration, yet many people do not know that towels come in a variety of sizes, colours, threads, blends and ply’s. A towel is one of the items we cannot do without, but besides its functionality a towel can also be an item of luxury as well as used as a decorating feature for your bathroom. Face/wash cloths

Cloths which are used to wash your body are either called face cloths or wash cloths, depending on where you go. Some people use two of these cloths, one for their faces and another for their bodies. Bath Towels

Bath towels are always best when soft and fluffy! After having a long relaxing bath, you want to wrap yourself up in a soft, absorbent bath towel. There are two sizes for bath towels; first you have the standard bath towel which is between 27″ and 30″, and secondly you have the bath sheet which is between 35″ to 36″ wide.

The materials used for towels vary, they are either made of pure cotton, microfibers or from cotton blends. The blends are usually a mixture of cotton, and silk or cotton and velour. The prices of the towels will vary depending on the blend used and the processes used. Here are some handy tips to keep your towels looking good.

1. Never iron your towels.

2. When washing coloured towels, use a detergent made for washing colours.

3. Do not use softeners after washing your towels.

4. When washing towels in a machine, wash with hot water to kill bacteria.

5. Let your towel air dry out side. As soon as they are dry fold them immediately to prevent creasing.

6. Micro fibre towels should be washed separately.

7. Choose towels which match with the colour scheme of your bathroom and stick with that colour.
